Pioneering psychometric research Among the staff of R&D are internationally distinguished scientists in the fields of psychometrics and statistics. Research staff members support the use of statistical methods and techniques throughout ETS. They also advance the field of educational measurement by serving as statistical consultants to ETS staff and clients seeking advice on collecting, analysing, reporting, and displaying data. R&D routinely conducts and publishes innovative statistical and methodological research and develops applications to solve problems that arise in educational testing, social and behavioural sciences, management, policy and operations research. In addition, ETS researchers and analysts regularly publish reports that contribute to the policy debate on pressing educational issues.
